If you dream in beautiful blooms and delightful dining, don’t miss this intimate wedding…
I love designing for a bride in LOVE with beautiful flowers! Lisa dreamed of an intimate wedding that looked effortless but was full of GORGEOUS flowers and artful dining.
Lisa’ first words to me were “I LOVE flowers so I want them to feel GORGEOUS! I want an intimate wedding that looks effortless but is spectacular with gorgeous bouquet for me, beautiful flowers for our tables and a boutonniere for my groom.” I knew we would be a perfect fit!
Originally Lisa and Rafat planned a really lovely, intimate wedding at their home with the best food, music, flowers and table settings. A single long table would fit perfectly on the back garden terrace and they were looking forward to hosting their nearest and dearest at home in the garden.
When the weather began to look threatening, it was clear that the backup (rain!) plan was a must. Since they had arranged for chef Jonathan Brooks to cater a beautiful dinner, the alternate plan was celebrating in cozy romantic style inside his restaurant, Milktooth.
My dear friend Gaby captured this love story beautifully!
We had a tight time to change the setup plans, but the results were lovely!
An important note to all those planning outdoor events- it is essential to have an alternate plan that you actually like. Your dream might be an evening under the stars, but if you would be happy with a candlelit dinner with all the blooms and details in a cozy indoor setting then make that alternate plan. (And yes, a tent is possible in some outdoor situations but not on Lisa and Rafat’s steeply terraced garden.)
